"You'll never be a good salesman" 

My former boss may not have said those exact words, but he might as well have. 

Turns out, he was right.

For years, I was the marketing guy in a small company creating ads and promotional materials and loved every minute of it.

Putting in 110% at every job, and going above and beyond has always been a character trait of mine since my early days cutting lawns.


That position was no exception. No days off. No vacations. I worked all the time.

It was all "worth it". I was making a small bonus on any new business that came in and there were even talks of ME becoming a sales guy for the company.

Me? A salesperson? That would have been life-changing. Too bad it wasn't.

I'll never forget the day the bonuses and talks of joining the sales team all went away. I can't remember what was said but I remember how I felt.

Crushed.

I was a father of two young boys and needed to move forward, not backward.

That conversation turned out to be a blessing in disguise. 

That day, I made my first-ever vacation request and used the time to take my real estate licensing class. My grandfather had started a Century 21 brokerage in the 80s and this was my signal to join the family business.

After passing the class and test, I quickly rose to "Top Agent" status by creating plans, ads, and promotions for our clients. Working hard for every person I helped. Not being a salesman, but a marketer helping people. Doing what I do best. 

Since then, we've helped hundreds of people make more money when selling and move-up to homes they love using our MI Move-Up Method while staying completely authentic and non-salesy.
